highlife about us

HighLife

HighLife is about enjoying the fruits of one’s labor. It’s about living the good life — be it a good meal, a well–made shoe, a hidden paradise yet to be discovered, inspired art, or fast, exotic cars. It’s about managing personal wealth, and making it grow, and it’s also about spreading it around. HighLife is BusinessWorld’s exclusive monthly glossy magazine presented in a special large format. It is the first magazine of its kind in the Philippines — with the shelf life of a magazine and the distribution reach of a newspaper. It is the guide to the luxury lifestyle, the good life, the HighLife.

Sections

Giffen Goods /Accoutrements. They’re the stuff of dreams, the things that fuel demand, items that dictate their own price. Eclectibles from all over. For him, for her, jewelry, cars, items for the kitchen, for the den, for the discriminating.

Créme dela Créme. Beauty with substance. Scents from exotic flowers, creams from rare ingredients. If it comes in a jar, a pot, a bottle, or in a bar, promising the fountain of youth or the secret to perfection, it will find its way here.

Senses. A section devoted to pleasures of the senses: touch (specialty paper, expensive fabrics, spa retreats), taste (dining out, wines, cigars), smell (perfumes, aromatic therapies), sight (video equipment, books), sound (music, audio equipment). A guide to what&quo;s out there, right now.

Tech Stocks. Gadgetry at its latest and most cutting-edge. New finds in the market for weapons for the road warrior, items for the home theater system, the kitchen, or the briefcase.

Been There, Done That. Even high flyers need time to cool their heels. From collecting books to diving the ruins of ancient Alexandria, alternative diversions to the everyday grind.

Moneytalk. The more you have, the more you risk to lose. Even the haves need to keep an eye out for their personal finances.

Wellness. Life at the top isn’t easy; that’s why wellness ranks high on every achiever’s list. This section explores both traditional and non-traditional cures, as well as simple how-to tips on achieving balance and wellness.

Fashion. Cutting-edge fashion photography highlighting only the choicest of fashion brands.

Destination. A travel section that focuses on out-of-the-way vacation spots, and new ways of looking at the old haunts. Not necessarily jetset, but definitely eye-opening.

Society. A different society page. Social awareness pieces that aim to stir the rich and influential into doing something for the common good.

Arts and Culture. In-depth, insightful discussions on the arts and culture; up-and-coming artists worth watching and collecting, rediscovering the masters, and spotting trends in arts and culture.

Favorite Things/Living Well. Another aspect to famous personalities' lives; their most treasured possession, the way they choose to live the good life.
